Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui affirmed Gareth Bale and Karim Benzema endured wounds in the LaLiga monsters’ stun 1-0 misfortune to Deportivo Alaves.
The weight on Lopetegui expanded after Madrid’s winless run reached out to four matches with their thrashing on Saturday.
Benzema fell off at half-time and Bale was substituted with 10 minutes staying at the Estadio de Mendizorroza, where Manu Garcia’s late goal saw Alaves guarantee their win.
Lopetegui affirmed Bale and Benzema were taken off because of wounds, in what could be further blows for his battling group.
“Karim and Gareth had wounds, so we needed to settle on choices with respect to transforms,” he said.
“That is football, that is the manner in which it goes, and today every one of the negatives turned out. We have the universal break now, so we can return to what we’re doing.”
Madrid have neglected to score in four straight matches out of the blue since 1985, and they have Levante after the global break.
