Real Madrid sack Lopetegui, appoint Solari as provisional Coach

Real Madrid formally affirmed that Julen Lopetegui is not any more the coach of Real Madrid and his substitution will be Santiago Hernan Solari.

Real have neglected to win in the class since beating Espanyol on September 22, losing to Sevilla, Alaves, Levante and drawing with Atletico Madrid, before Sunday’s 5-1 whipping by Barcelona at the Nou Camp.

Lopetegui, 52, has now lost two occupations in the space of under five months.

He was terminated by the Spanish Football Federation as Coach of the national team the day preceding the World Cup began in June, because of his having arranged his turn to Real without advising the Spanish Football Federation.

A club proclamation read: “The Board of Directors of Real Madrid CF, meeting today October 29, 2018, has consented to end the agreement of coach Julen Lopetegui.

“This choice, embraced from the most abnormal amount of obligation, means to change the elements of the main group, when every one of the destinations of this season are as yet achievable.

“The Board of Directors comprehends that there is an extraordinary imbalance between the nature of the staff of Real Madrid, which has 8 players designated for the following Golden Ball, something exceptional ever of club, and the outcomes got to date.

“The club expresses gratitude toward Julen Lopetegui and all his specialized group for their exertion and work and wishes them the best in their expert vocation.

“He will be temporarily supplanted by Santiago Solari, who will lead the primary group beginning on Tuesday.”
